What does a session actually feel like?
Most people describe it as a deep, quiet rest — somewhere between meditation and a nap. You lie fully clothed on a table while I work with your energy field; many people feel warmth, tingling, or a gentle wave of release. Some drift into a half-sleep and come back with images, memories, or a tear they didn't expect. There is nothing you have to do, and nothing you have to feel.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no fixed number, and I won't prescribe one upfront. Some people feel a real shift after a single session; others come for several months through a major loss or transition. After your free consultation I'll offer a loose sense of what the arc might look like, and we revisit it together as the work unfolds.
Do online sessions work as well as in-person?
Yes — energy is not bound by geography, and most of my long-term clients meet me online. In-person sessions add the option of touch-based and incense work, but the core healing happens the same way either format. If you're far away, bed-bound, or simply more comfortable at home, online is a complete option, not a compromise.
Do you offer a sliding scale?
I hold a small number of sliding-scale spots each month for people navigating active financial hardship alongside their grief. If the published rates would keep you from booking, mention it in your free-consultation message and we'll find a rate that works on both sides.
How are the different modalities different — Energy Healing vs Grief & Loss vs Past Life Trauma vs Intuitive?
They share the same foundation (working with your energy field) and differ in focus. Integrative Energy Healing is the all-purpose session — full reading, targeted work, and integration. Grief & Loss is specifically structured around the arc of bereavement and major loss. Past Life Trauma reaches older patterns that feel older than this lifetime. Intuitive Energy Healing leans more on what comes through in the moment, with less structure.
Is what I share in a session confidential?
Yes — completely. Everything you bring to a session stays between us. I keep no formal case notes, share nothing with anyone, and never name clients in marketing or case studies without explicit written permission. The room, online or in person, is private.
My loss is very recent — within days or weeks. Is it too soon?
It depends on what you need. In the first days and weeks, the body is often still in shock and a session can be too much too fast. The free consultation is a good place to ask; if it's too soon for hands-on work, I can suggest gentler things to do first (breath, grounding, rest) and we can meet again when you're ready. There is no rush, and there is no wrong time to reach out.
Do I need to believe in energy healing for it to work?
No. Scepticism is welcome and common. The work is experiential, not ideological — you don't have to believe anything to notice warmth, a softening in the chest, a tear, or a better night's sleep. Many of my clients come in unsure and leave with their own answer, which is usually enough.
What if I cry — or what if I don't feel anything at all?
Both are welcome, and neither is required. Some sessions bring tears that have been held for years; others are quiet and almost ordinary. If nothing moves in a particular session, that is also information — it often means the body isn't ready yet, and we honour that. You will never be pushed to feel something you don't feel.
Does this work alongside therapy or medication?
Yes. Energy healing is complementary, not a replacement for therapy or psychiatric care, and I encourage you to keep working with any practitioner you trust. Many clients see a therapist and come to me for the parts of grief that don't fit neatly into talk. There are no known interactions with medications.
How should I take care of myself after a session?
Rest more than you think you need to. Drink water. Keep the day after the session quieter than usual if you can — fewer decisions, less screen time, an earlier night. Some people feel tender, dreamy, or unusually emotional for a day or two; that is the integration doing its work. A simple post-session ritual (grounding, slow body scan, one line on the page) is the most useful thing I can offer you for the days after — you can read it on the Integration Ritual page.
Is energy healing right for me if I'm not sure I believe in it?
If you're grieving, yes. You don't need to believe in energy any more than you need to believe in sleep for sleep to do its work. The clearest test isn't what you believe — it's whether something in you is asking for a quieter, more held kind of support than you're currently getting. If that's true, the free consultation is the lowest-stakes way to find out whether this is the right room for it.
